Gran Bahia Príncipe Bavaro is set above a beach of white sand, with 500 m of beach front. It extends over half a million square metres and has numerous tropical gardens, holding paths where clients can walk and, at the same time, enjoy the soft sea breezes and the freshness of their natural surroundings. The hotel is made up of two hotels the Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana and the Gran Bahia Principe Bavaro, the two hotels share some facilities and restaurants that this large complex has to offer.In total there are 1536 rooms spread over 47 blocks. All are junior suites with oval Jacuzzi bath, distributed in 2 and 3 storey villas. All rooms are with twin or king size beds and sofa bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, full bathroom, hairdryer, satellite TV, direct telephone, private safe (extra charge), mini-bar (free), coffeemaker, and terrace or balcony. Four rooms are equipped with facilities for the disabled (on request).the A la Carte restaurants are available for dinner; reservation is obligatory and should be made at the Guest Services.The hotel is located 35 km to the airport Punta Cana (PUJ), 205 km to Santo Domingo (SDQ), and 100 km to La Romana (LRM).

Hotel Facilities
The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:00-10:30), lunch (13:00-15:30) and dinner (18:30-22:30), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals all national drinks are offered. Also at the disposal of the AI guests for dinner three times per week of stay, are seven A la Carte restaurants; Japanese, Mexican, Italian, French, Garden grill, Sea Food, Mediterranean. Snacks such as hot dogs, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, French fries, etc are available between 12:00 & 18:00 at the snack bar Las Olas I & II by the beach as well as from 10:00-19:00 at the snack bar Piscis (by the pool) and the burger house in Pueblo Principe from 21:00-07:00. Locally & some international produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks are served at the main bar (11:00-23:00), the piano bar Karaoke (18:00-02:00) and the disco. In-room mini bars are filled with soft drinks, water and beer.Sport facilities at the hotel include non motorized sports (windsurfing, catamaran, kayaks, sunfish, snorkelling, pedal boat), boogie boards, mountain bikes, tennis, aerobics & merengue lessons, towel service at the pools & beach, daytime beach & pool entertainment, games & organized activities, Theatre at night (20:00), children show, mini club and two different show for adults (21:00-24:00). Guests have the choice of two of four pools on site. Shops: handicrafts, clothes, gifts, tobacco and liquor, photography, jewellery and medical service.
Room Facilities
In the Gran Bahia Principe Bavaro hotel there are 400 Junior Suites with a bath & Hydro massage tub and Jet shower situated in 2 and 3 storey villas.
All other rooms have either 2 full size (1,36m x 2m) or 1 king size bed ( 2m x 2m), a sofa-bed, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a fully equipped bathroom with a hair dryer, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, a private safe (extra charge), mini-bar and terrace.
